NUMS Wins Three Medals in 14th National Sports Olympiad for Medical Students
The sports team of NUMS won two gold medals, one silver, and one fourth title in the 14th National Sports Olympiad of Medical Students.
During this competition, which was held from August 31 to September 5, 2022, in 8 disciplines with the participation of 67 universities, hosted by Shahrekord, Mohammad Qaemi, a student of Medical Emergencies won two gold medals in the 50m and 100m backstroke and a silver medal in the 50m freestyle. Also, Seyedreza Momenzadeh, a student of Environmental Health, won the fourth title in powerlifting”, The director of Sports and Physical Education of NUMS proudly announced.
“Mohammad Qaemi, by winning three valuable medals, was placed in the group of top two athletes with many medals in this competition”, Majid Farah Nia added.
“Technically, this Olympiad was one of the most high-quality Olympiads due to the presence of Olympic athletes and members of the national team in various disciplines, especially swimming, which made the level of competition very high”, he pointed out.
