About NUMS

Neyshabur University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) was founded under the name of Neyshabur Nursing and Midwifery College, under the supervision of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS) accepting students in nursing. The university became independent in 2009 and has since operated under direct supervision of Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education. 7 vice-chancellors in Education, Research & Technology, Health, Treatment, Food & Drug, Administration & Resources Development, and Cultural & Students affairs, as well as the office of International Affairs are the main wings of the university in fulfilling its tasks.

Presently, the university benefits from 3 schools admitting students in 13 majors; 2 teaching hospitals; 3 research centers; and also the full time and invaluable cooperation of 68 academics that educate and train more than 900 students this academic year. Moreover, it is worth to mention that NUMS has a special mission to develop knowledge in the field of art and health throughout the country.  

Neyshabour University of Medical Sciences is honored to have the responsibility of providing, maintaining and promoting the health of more than 520,000 residents of Neyshabur and the neighboring cities.
